Yoga itself is pretty awesome, but imagine practicing yoga on Maui! You can, of course, thanks for several yoga teachers and studios across the island. We’re sharing our top seven here:
Wailea Yoga Shala
Join a studio class or a morning beach yoga, with your choice of styles and flows. There’s even a happy hour yoga and gentle yoga on some days at 4pm. The bright, second floor studio is located at the Wailea Gateway Center.
**Visit Wailea Yoga Shala’s second location in Paia, then check out their attached Island fresh Café. They offer super healthy dishes and amazing smoothies.

Maui Hot Yoga and Kickboxing
This North Kihei studio is great for anyone that loves hot yoga. Classes are intense, hot and sweaty! The studio also offers — you guessed it — kickboxing classes if you want to switch up your workouts.

Maui Yoga Loft
This recently-opened cozy Kihei studio has brand new equipment, a gorgeous space and a great garden view from the main studio room. I love their creative flow classes, as well as their restorative yoga on Sunday nights — which involves a deep stretch and some yin-style yoga.

Lumeria
This beautiful, ethereal retreat is located in Makawao. Lumeria offers lodging, a vegan restaurant, sound healing and awesome yoga classes open to their guests and the public. Their classes range from Vinyasa to restorative, and some are indoors while others are outside on their beautiful lawn areas.

Afterglow
Afterglow has a few locations on island, but my favorite is located in the quaint town of Wailuku. If you’re looking for a local feel, this is the place to try. Nestled beside cute boutiques and local shops this studio is bright and clean and offers a wide variety of teachers and classes. They even offer some barre classes and Fusion yoga.
**They have two other locations; one in Kihei and one in Lahaina.

Yoga with Dani
Dani Aguiar hails all the way from Brazil and offers donation based morning and sunset yoga classes in local Kihei parks. She has her degree in physical fitness, a personal training background, and extensive yoga knowledge.
Check out her class schedule on her Facebook pages Maui Sunset Yoga with Dani and Yoga with Dani. Her classes are very soothing while still being athletic. I highly recommend them.
Yoga at Sacred ‘Iao Valley
Every Saturday morning at 9:30, Yogi Katja teaches an amazing free Hatha yoga event at the ‘Iao Valley State Park. The class is held in a little pagoda so you are sheltered yet still outdoors, surrounded by Maui’s lush greenery.
This energizing flow is followed by a peaceful meditation. Beginners and children are welcome, too.
