It’s ultra-healthy, interesting and tasty. Says one Yelp user:

As the name might imply, Joy’s place is known for its super friendly staff and foods that nourish. It’s a great place for fresh lunch and breakfast sandwiches (including a few raw/vegan options), homemade soup and chili as well as live foods such as kombucha and smoothies.

Maka By Mana is another example of how refined the vegetarian dining scene on Maui has become. This family-owned grocery store and cafe in Paia serves a wide variety of raw and vegan food that strives to nourish and promote longevity and wellness. The entire menu is vegan and gluten-free with some raw options as well. The ingredients are strictly only organic and non-GMO ingredients.

Farmacy Health Bar
Get past the peculiar name and the Farmacy Health Bar is one of Maui’s top vegan establishments specializing in acai bowls. The owners are really passionate about using organic, local ingredients; the quote on the menu board reads, “Let thy food be thy medicine. Let thy medicine be thy food.”
